Mir Alam Zeb Marri

Mir Alam Zeb Marri (born 18 April 1986) is a Pakistani activist, tribal leader, and social worker from Balochistan.

  • Early life and education*
Mir Alam Zeb Marri was born on 18 April 1986 in Dad Ali Shahr Kohlu (now Jahangirabad).
His grandfather Malik Amir Khan Mahendani belongs to Ghazni, a sub-branch of the Marri tribe. He was the Chief of the Mahandani tribe and a prominent tribal Notable of Kohlu.

Mir Alam Zaib Marri did His primary education from Kohlu and Intermedinet from Tameer-e-Nau College Quetta. He received his Masters degree in Statistics from University of Balochistan.

  • Professional Career*
Mir Alam Zeb Marri became an activist and later a member of the Islamic Jamiat Talaba during his studies.  He was also the provincial information secretary of Islami Jamiat Talaba for two years.  He also held the position of Provincial Vice President Balochistan of Al Khidmat Foundation from 2011 to 2015. He was also elected as a member of the Provincial Council of Pakistan Red Crescent in 2018. 
On 2019 was part of National Security Workshop-5 where you discussed national security, basic attributes of statecraft and their relevance to the security elements of Pakistan's national power and national interests, their socio-political environment and national security of the economy.

A study was conducted on the impact and role of the military in Pakistan's foreign policy. Pakistan's internal environmental channels are explained and policy to address them is analysed. On 2024 January PEMRA elected him as Member of the Balochistan Council.

He also write columns in various newspapers and also write about the domestic and foreign situation in the monthly magazine of the Pakistan Army, Hilal.
